The Massachusetts Bay colony and surrounding area was a tinder box for freedom! King George III was not happy with his subjects. He was fed up with them and referred to them as "those defiant rebels."
I must give his Majesty and his cohorts their proper due, and a big thank you for creating the map I copied and inked/stained for the back drop behind our defiant rebel (minuteman) of 1775.
The map: "A Plan of The Town Of Boston, with the Intrenchments &c. Of His Majestys Forces in 1775: from the observations of LIEU. PAGE of His Majesty's Corps of Engineers; and from the plans of other GENTLEMEN." - Engraved & Printed for Wm. FADEN.Charing-Cross, as the Act directs 1st. Octo. 1777.
