Status of Original Painting:  Sold.

All our art prints are "giclee" ink jet prints.  Our process of printing uses fade resistant, archival inks on archival photo paper and canvas.  Our canvas prints are also coated with a spray varnish to add an additional layer of protection and give them a more original painterly look and feel.

1) 12" x 18" image size (13" x 19" total print size).  All Open Edition prints are signed by the artist.

This is the 2nd oil painting in the Defiance 76 series, featuring "Defiance" as a Continental Line soldier guarding the Declaration of Independence.

This has been noted to be "one of the best-known sentences in the English language", containing some of the most potent language and consequential words in American history.  This passage has come to represent a moral standard to which the United States should strive to attain.

Defiance 76 is a spirit born of our Fore Father's resolve, sacrifice, faith, and courage to establish an orderly society that champions the dignity of the Person; who, created in the image of God, is given certain inalienable rights such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of property with the ability and right to defend these rights by an means necessary.  And, any attempt to strip or suppress these rights will meet "a sure defiance!"
